FAQs

Q) I do not like drills. Are there any other options?

We offer air abrasion, an alternative to the traditional dental drill. With air abrasion, a stream of air and tiny particles whisk away decay. Because the tool emits no vibration, heat, or noise, the factors that cause pain associated with a dental drill, most patients don’t even need anesthetic!

Q) Do I have to floss every day? Is it really that important?

Yes. Flossing establishes your main line of defense against gum disease, which is exceedingly common and extremely destructive. Brushing and even mouthwash can’t reach below the gum line, leaving the irritants that cause gum disease inflammation to grow and take hold. Flossing daily will greatly reduce your odds of gum disease and will also remove decay-causing agents from between teeth to help prevent cavities.

Q) Does your office use lasers?

We use DIAGNOdent, a cavity-detection laser that will scan your teeth to find decay and areas prone to decay. This eliminates the need to inspect each tooth with the traditional dental hook, which is good news for your comfort when visiting James A. Striebel Dentistry in Huber Heights, Ohio.

Q) My smile is missing teeth. What do you suggest I do?

First, we recommend that you schedule an appointment with Dr. Striebel. During this initial consultation, Dr. Striebel can assess the state of your oral health and determine the best way to address your missing teeth. We offer a variety of solutions, including dentures, bridges, and dental implants. Because we offer every phase of dental implant treatment and all the other methods of tooth replacement, we’re able to make the best possible recommendations for your smile and provide treatment right here at our Huber Heights office.

Q) My spouse snores at night. Can you help?

Many of those suffering with snoring actually have obstructive sleep apnea, a serious medical condition. Dr. Striebel offers sleep apnea appliances that can not only alleviate snoring, but can treat sleep apnea to protect overall health. If you or your spouse snores, contact us for a consultation.
